Studio Real creates a minimalistic visual identity for new range of pomegranate-based products to reflect the brand’s no-nonsense, natural philosophy.

Akka is an Egyptian brand offering three products made from pure, locally sourced Manfaluti pomegranate; Pomegranate Balsamic, Pomegranate Vinegar, Pomegranate Molasses. Each product is naturally fermented using artisanal methods that allow the product to develop at its own rate with nothing else added, just pure Egyptian pomegranate.

With that in mind, Studio Real set out to communicate the simplistic process with which Akka is made through their packaging and visual identity concept. A clean white label with a touch of colour to indicate product variation adorns the bottles, boasting a minimalist aesthetic that marries the uncluttered style of Japanese design with Egyptian elegance.

Textured paper is used to reflect the rough organic nature of the product process and brand philosophy, while the number of pomegranates used for each product is clearly indicated on the label to communicate the purity of ingredients, further outlined on hang-tags tied with frayed string to accentuate the artisanal quality. The modest yet elegant bottle shape gives a sense of gourmet excellence, further communicated with an external handmade wooden box providing a distinctive unboxing experience.
