Hand-illustrated packaging that celebrates honest flavour, women-led craft, and stories rooted in land, labour, and legacy

Hand-illustrated packaging that celebrates honest flavour, women-led craft, and stories rooted in land, labour, and legacy

Third Culture Kat’s packaging is as expressive and intentional as the flavours inside each jar. Set against vibrant colour palettes, the glass jars are wrapped in bold, hand-illustrated labels that celebrate South Asian heritage through a contemporary lens. Each flavour features a striking female portrait, reflecting the brand’s women-led ethos and the personal stories behind every recipe.

The typography is playful yet grounded, allowing the flavour names to stand proudly while remaining approachable and honest. From Kashmiri Chilli Oil to Multani Mango and Lahori Tamarind Chutney, the design doesn’t exaggerate or embellish - it tells the truth, just like the food itself. The jars feel collectible, almost archival, reinforcing the idea that each one carries memory, land, and legacy.

Illustrated by artist in Pakistan Abrahim Butt, the labels honour the people and places behind the ingredients, aligning with Third Culture Kat’s commitment to empowering growers in the developing world and crafting with purpose rather than profit. Free from allergens and made only with real ingredients, the packaging avoids fleeting trends in favour of timeless storytelling.
