Richard is the Design Director, Breakthrough Innovation – Europe at PepsiCo. He is the Design Lead for the European Hub on the Global Design Innovation Group, helping to set the breakthrough innovation strategy for Europe. His role is to lead a growing team of innovation and brand design experts to establish and drive growth in white spaces PepsiCo does not play in today.

Richard previously worked at Mars Wrigley for seven years, where he was Head of Design for EMEA and led the London design studio with responsibility for designing and innovating the regional jewels including Bounty, Celebrations, Korkunov, Mars and MilkyWay. Prior to that Richard was the creative leader on Mars’ Bar portfolio globally, with specific focus on Snickers and Twix.

In his time at Mars, Richard was responsible for the global rebrands of Snickers, MilkyWay, Celebrations and Korkunov, as well as NPD to include Snickers Brownie, 100kCal Bars, MilkyWay Dairy-Free.

Before joining Mars, Richard worked at various design and innovation consultancies establishing growth opportunities for clients across categories such as consumer electronics, services, as well as FMCG / CPG.
