Ten years ago, Edgard & Cooper revolutionised the pet food market by creating healthy dog food that is kind to nature. The demand for healthy and natural pet food is thriving as consumers increasingly care as much about what their pets eat as they do about their own diets.
Only Now collaborated with the brand to develop the packaging for a new range of dog treats that cater for all occasions, for all dogs. But with so many options to choose from, the designs needed to make it as easy as possible for shoppers to find the right treat, while allowing the brand’s characterful personality to shine through.
The packaging showcases the heroes themselves: Edgard & Cooper. As genuine dog lovers, it was important to the brand to capture the personality and energy of real dogs. Only Now worked with illustrator Kimberly Carpenter to create a suite of illustrations depicting the eponymous pets enjoying the treats at different moments, adding warmth and emotion to the variant coding. A fun tone of voice helps to further suggest when each treat can be enjoyed, from training with ‘Top Dog Bites’ to chilling with ‘Snuggle Up Strips’.
The impactful combination of vibrant colours, playful naming and characterful illustrations, helps to catch your eye and bring a smile to your face, while helping shoppers navigate dog treats in a crowded supermarket environment. They not only look delicious, but reinforce the brand’s mission to make healthy, sustainable food for every dog.
