Boo Republic crafts a packaging that balances heritage and technology with bold colour coding, sleek typography, and precise design

The design process for 72H flour packaging sought to encapsulate the perfect interplay of tradition and innovation. Spanning retail-friendly 1kg packs of general-purpose flour, Tipo 00, and sourdough bread-making blends, to bulk 25kg bags of croissant flour, semolina, and baguette blends, each package was crafted with intention and precision.

The agency embraced bold colour coding across the packaging to establish a clear and intuitive system for distinguishing between flour types, ensuring practicality and ease of use for everyone from home bakers to professional chefs. Complementing this vibrant approach, they employed a sleek, tech-inspired monospaced font that imbues a contemporary aesthetic, creating a striking contrast to the deeply traditional nature of the product inside.

The result is packaging that merges sensibility with modern design language. While the flours themselves reflect the art of time-honoured craftsmanship, their wrapping speaks to a future-forward vision. The sharp, minimalist visuals and technological design cues are a nod to the digital world, offering a visual metaphor for the emergence of traditional, artisanal quality in a modern context.
