We're excited to reveal the line-up for this year's Pentawards jury panel, including our new Co-Presidents! Made up of a diverse collection of industry leaders from across the world, the 2023 jury panel consists of varied nationalities, genders, ages, expertise, and experiences.

We're excited to reveal the line-up for this year's Pentawards jury panel, including new Co-Presidents and packaging experts from Unilever, The Walt Disney Company, Pentagram and more!

Made up of a diverse collection of industry leaders from across the world, the 2023 jury panel consists of 50 members of varied nationalities, genders, ages, expertise, and experiences.

After 6 years as part of the Pentawards jury, previous Jury President Clem Halpin from Taxi Studio will now become the Jury Chairman, and for the first time, Pentawards will have two new Co-Presidents: Chloe Templeman, ExecutiveCreative Director at big fish, and John Glasgow, Partner at Vault49.

Who will judge your work?

This jury panel features creators, designers, packaging enthusiasts, and more, from a diverse collection of reputed brands and agencies that have played significant roles in influencing the world of packaging design, including Caitlin Field - Associate Creative Director | Amazon Kitchen Creative at Amazon, Camille de Dominicis - Co-Founder & Brand Director at Eminente by Moët Hennessy and Jon Rathbone Packaging Design Lead at Meta. 

The rest of the panel is made up of members from Diageo, PepsiCo, Lego, Studio Kluif, and UPM Raflatac, to name a few.

Meet the newest members of the 2023 Jury line-up...

Co-President Chloe Templeman, Executive Creative Director at big fish


Beginning her design career at Brand Union London, Chloe joined Design Bridge in 2021, working her way up to a Creative Director. A Scottish lass through and through Chloé’s energy and passion for the big idea, beautifully crafted shines through in her work winning her many international awards.

Her big move to big fish sees her in the Executive Creative Director role where she now leads the creative in the studio and champions her clients to start, transform and grow businesses as forces for good. She has been a part of the Pentawards jury for over 3years contributing to the packaging design community.



Co-President John Glasgow, Co-Founder at Vault49


Once a printmaker and a street artist, John carried his roots into co-founding Vault49 in 2002, successfully integrating strategy and creative image-making delivering bold artistic solutions delighting audience and disrupting everyday experiences.

Committed to encouraging cultural diversity within the design industry, he extended the same passion over the last three years as a jury member at Pentawards. He spearheads a Vault49 initiative giving students from low-income backgrounds the opportunity to work on projects and broaden their networks.

Anita Kuit - Branding & Packaging EMEA | Global Product Creation at The Walt Disney Company


Responsible for delivering innovative and on-trend packaging and branding design for the licensed consumer product division with a key focus on apparel, home and FMCG categories.

With a strong passion for consumer mindsets and trend forecasting, Anita is always on the lookout for future areas of growth, translating into relevant designs whilst ensuring designs are aligned with the brand values.



Amanda Kent - Global Branding & Packaging Manager, Consumer Products at Netflix


Responsible for the development and execution of branding and product packaging, Amanda has led prominent projects that include Stranger Things, Squid Game, Bridgerton, The Witcher, and many more future hits.

Over the years, she has become known for her contribution to creating a wide range of diverse design work and identities for the likes of Pernod Ricard, Nestlé, Unilever, and Urban Cordial, to name a few.



Lee Barnsley - Global Head of Design & Brand Experience at Reckitt


A creative leader with over 20 years of international experience, working across the UK, USA, Australia, and Asia, Lee has been influential in developing strategy and innovation for brands in global markets, as well as developing and growing existing design agencies and start-ups.

Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the world’s biggest FMCG businesses, including Nestlé, Heineken, Unilever, GSK, and Tesco, to name a few.


Lara Kerbaj - Senior Global Brand Manager at Unilever


A global brand manager with 9+ international experience in global power brands across various categories in the FMCG world and experience in strategy development, innovation management, and building brands across the globe.

Passionate about working with diverse themes, Lopez strives to unleash potential and bring disruptive innovations and communications to life.


Jon Marshall - Partner at Pentagram


Jon Marshall is an industrial designer whose work fuses product design with strategy, branding, packaging, and digital experiences.

He is a partner at Pentagram’s London office and is interested in working with abstract and emerging technologies, creating accessible user experiences, and sustainability.


Marie-Therese Cassidy - VP Design, Europe at PepsiCo


The Glasgow School of Art graduate arrived in London over 20 years ago to pursue her love for developing an emotional connection with consumers via great creative thought and beautiful craft. She is a Geordie by birth, French by name, and Scottish by training. She now crosses borders and disciplines within the FutureBrand global network, interacting with numerous teams worldwide.

T hroughout her career, she has produced an exceptional design portfolio while working with some of the world's greatest brands for corporations such as Unilever, Diageo, PepsiCo, P&G, Mondelez, AB InBev, and Coca-Cola. She leads several of FutureBrand's most notable initiatives. 


Teru Yamabuchi- Creative Director at Elmwood Shanghai


Teru is an internationally recognised creative leader, bringing decades of international experience to drive creative and branding excellence with an international career spanning China, Singapore, and Australia.

As a team collaborator and a creative leader, he combines his traditional passion for detail and cross-disciplinary, cross-cultural experience with a love for fresh creativity that pushes boundaries and, most importantly, gets in-market results.


Olivia Estrella - Omnichannel Brand Design Strategist at Nestlé Purina


Influenced by a multicultural background and the understanding that through art, language barriers could be surpassed, Olivia became a graphic designer. With a trajectory that spans across agencies and multinational companies, she strongly believes that design strategy gives brands the means to permeate cultures and bring people together.

At Nestlé, she has advocated for building strong design communities and forging connections between different teams.


Vincent Villeger - Product, packaging, and retail designer


A product, packaging, and retail designer with a career-long focus on the luxury and beauty sectors, his approach is resolutely three-dimensional. Vincent leverages his understanding of form, materials, and processes to imbue his work with structural and tactile qualities.

His achievements include turning Burberry into a British luxury brand and successfully contributing to others such as Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Issey Miyake, Dunhill, Clive Christian, and Pangaia, to name a few.


Miriam Frescura - Associate Creative Director at Auge Design


Beginning her career in Rome, Miriam has, over the years, built experience across design studios and communication agencies in London, Turin, Milan, and Florence.

Starting as a senior designer, she has grown over the years to become the associate creative director for Auge Design, an Italian agency focused on packaging and branding.


 Joann Maisonet, Senior Designer at Microsoft - USA


As a Sr. Designer on the Packaging and Content team, Joann strives to ensure full and seamless integration of brand, package design, user experience, and business strategy to create meaningful unboxing experiences across the portfolio.

Building upon her experience in CPG and tech, including PepsiCo, ConAgra, Zillow, Cingular, and Microsoft, she pushes for design that will not only be aesthetically pleasing, but informative, connected, and inclusive. Believing in design’s potential to empower consumers through honesty and clarity, she advocates for user representation through the entirety of the design process.


  Johanna Augustin, CEO at Pond Design


Johanna is CEO at Pond Design, a Stockholm School of Economics alumni and a former Bocconi University student. She’s received several international awards over the last few years such as gold and silver in Pentawards and wins in the Dieline and D&AD awards. With professional experience in architecture, marketing and advertising, before her career started at Pond Design some twelve years ago, Johanna has developed a holistic approach in her work.

She can look at packaging design and brand strategy from both a business perspective and the creative sides of it – working hands-on when developing Pond’s award-winning plans. Johanna’s portfolio includes iconic local brands and global heavyweights such as Absolut Vodka, Jameson Whiskey, Unilever, Barilla and Eckes-Granini – all of whom she’s delivered international packaging, innovation and strategy, which has contributed to making Pond Design one of Sweden’s most successful design agencies over the last decade.


Jokin Arregui,  Founder Partner and Project Manager at SERIESNEMO - Spain


Jokin Arregui is an industrial designer with expertise in packaging and product design and development. In 1992 he was one of the founding partners of SERIESNEMO, a design firm that he still leads as Project Manager. He graduated from Escola Massana (Barcelona, Spain) and throughout his career he has collaborated with institutions such as ESADE, Fundación Alicia (Food and Science), Design HUB Barcelona, BCD.

Jokin is internationally recognised for his disruptive innovations in the beverage industry through design and packaging. As the leader of SERIESNEMO, he has made the company internationally widely awarded. The most significant recognition has been the Pentawards Agency of the Year 2022, coinciding with the company's 30th anniversary.


Pippa Alice Hogg, Head of Studio, CreativeLab, Ravensbourne University London & Creative Director, Palice Studio


Pippa is a multi-disciplined conceptual creative and leader with over 12 years of integrated brand and agency experience. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Pippa co-founded CreativeLab at Ravensbourne in 2019 and has since been instrumental in building this into a successful purpose-driven creative agency with clients such as NHS, Deloitte and Nike.

Pippa recently established Palice Studio, of which she is the Founder and Creative Director, to work alongside underrepresented and marginalised artists and musicians to create outstanding visual identities and successful content strategies with the power to increase their audiences. Pippa is an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and proudly campaigns to change our industry for the better through inclusive practices.


Jo Smith, Design and Visual Identity Leader For Captain Morgan, Innovation Europe and Africa at Diageo


Jo Smith is Design and Visual Identity Leader at Diageo, responsible for design excellence for Europe and Africa innovation, and for global design for Captain Morgan. Having worked most of her career agency side for the likes of Futurebrand, Enterprise IG and JDO, she made the leap to Diageo after being inspired by their approach to design and how it plays such a central role in their brand-building process.

In a career spanning 20 years, she has worked at the cutting edge of packaging design, brand strategy, brand comms and product innovation across some of the world’s biggest brands, including Dove, Lux, Pepsi, Cadbury and Walls


Jesper Schreiner Thomsen, Creative Director at LEGO


Jesper is well-known for his strategic thinking and in-depth knowledge of cross-media and online branding. He has directed several successful projects and is a specialist in understanding both Danish and international markets.

With over 9 years of experience with LEGO, he has contributed to numerous projects by utilising his skills as a concept developer, creative director, corporate identity builder, and more.


Denise Llanera-Wittleton, Senior Graphic Designer at The National Gallery


A graphic designer with a multicultural (Austrian, Filipino) background based in London, UK, Denise is passionate about finding different approaches to briefs and loves making things beautiful through various creative platforms.

As a team player, she enjoys working with her team ensuring all members bring out their true potential as creators through various projects. She is an expert in packaging, branding and photography.
