Loumidis Coffee Shops

Coffee has been the center of Greece for centuries, a tradition influenced by the Turks transforming into the heart of the Greek heritage. A 200-year-old tradition, Greek coffee is associated with loukoumi, spoon sweets, good company, and the game of backgammon, all of which are reflected in the visual identity, highlighting these bold cultural elements.

As one of the oldest and most iconic brands in Greece, Loumidis tasked design agency A.S. Strategy, to deliver an identity that reflected Greek culture with a modern aesthetic. To reflect the brand’s strong character, the packaging design is adorned with a colourful palette featuring vintage-style illustrations to communicate the brand's history.



The Loumidis brand identity is highlighted with a deep blue banner at the topmost part of the packaging to reflect the inception of the brand in 1919. The design agency created packaging for new espresso capsules, coffee, traditional loukoumi, and spoon sweets. The typography and illustrations are a reflection of the brand's history and its popular presence in Greece.
