Below the Clouds by Design Energy

Design Energy’s packaging design for Below the Clouds

Inspired by the New Zealand region of Marlborough, known as ‘the land of the long white cloud’, the studio created a whimsical story of life below the clouds – blue sky, mountains, ‘that' volcanic blue water, villages and exaggerated giant land snails that are found within the region. The clouds above create an interesting ‘negative space’ effect for shelf impact, whilst the light, playful colours give reference to the fresh, zesty wine inside.

Materials and finishes were carefully chosen to create a layered design that maximizes the carnival vibes, using a bright colour palette and metallic foils to evoke the vivid and radiant costumes that illuminate Trinidad & Tobago streets.
