Macarena Castillo Olmos, Senior Brand Design Manager EU at Colgate-Palmolive, has been announced as a 2025 Pentawards Festival speaker. She’ll be taking to the stage at Paris Packaging Week in Jan 2025 exploring the topic of ‘Design with Impact’.
About Macarena Castillo Olmos
An experienced brand builder for the fast-moving consumer good industry, Macarena leads innovative design projects across the EU at Colgate-Palmolive, drawing on her diverse experiences from agency life at Landor and in-house agencies.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication and a Post-graduate in Futures Design from Centro University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Art Direction. Macarena is passionate about visual storytelling, audiovisual narratives and brand expression.
She thrives on collaboration, embracing diverse cultural influence and fostering a spirit of continuous learning to help build enduring and meaningful brands.

Colgate x Pentawards
Colgate were Pentaward winners in both 2022 and 2023, winning a bronze award in 2023 with 'Ploosh', and a gold in 2022 with their Colgate Recyle Me! packaging. Macarena's colleague Sofia Kalligeri, Senior Marketing Manager at Colgate was part of our international Jury this year, representing Colgate-Palmolive and lending her design and marketing expertise at our in-person judging in July 2024.
We’re very pleased to say that this is the first time Macarena will be collaborating with Pentawards and we’re looking forward to hearing her takes on the home and personal care packaging, branding and designing with purpose.
