‘Paper Posh’ is a project by artists Andrea Filippi & Gabriele Moschin: a selected collection of futuristic, visionary and sophisticated paper bags created through generative Artificial Intelligence software and launched at our sister event Packaging Première & PCD Milan.
The project is not just a celebration of AI's potential but an exploration of its limitations, hallucinations, and the unintentional yet often surprising consequences of its use. Filippi and Moschin emphasise that their journey with AI is not about glorifying the virtual realm but about navigating the complex interplay between human creativity and machine intelligence.
" Our work with AI is a hybrid process, a blend of programming, coding, and the art of writing poetry. It goes beyond merely compiling hashtags; it’s about emotionally aligning with the machine ," the artists explain. This innovative approach marks a significant departure from conventional design methods, introducing a new era where the unimaginable becomes possible.
The "Paper Posh" series features fourteen distinct shopping bags, each one a testament to the future of design. The bags are not only functional items but artistic statements that challenge the status quo and inspire the next generation of designers. Through their use of AI, Filippi and Moschin have crafted structures that are both original and unprecedented in the world of luxury packaging.
