Pu'er or pu-erh is a variety of fermented tea traditionally produced in the Yunnan Province of China. For this simple yet original design, words and graphics from Chinese ideographic symbols are used to represent the concepts of origin, nature, and craftsmanship, reflecting the natural and traditional characteristics of the product.
Some of the images represented in the ideographic symbols - a process that uses symbols rather than words - are directly connected to nature, like subtropical rainforests, alpine ancient trees, essence of sun and moon. Others symbolise the characteristics of Pu'er tea and its production process such as: hand-picked, skillfully stir-fried, kneaded, dried etc.
A natural bamboo shoot shell is used for the wrappers, being the most suitable material for the fermentation of Pu’er tea. The choice of laser engraving for the graphics allows to obtain a scorched browning effect that recalls the charcoal roasting process of the product, emphasising its benefits.
