On 11th and 12th of September we partnered with London Packaging Week to bring global  packaging design excellence together with the future of packaging, giving visitors an unrivalled platform to be inspired, innovate, and come together. 

Pentawards powered some of the conferences, including sessions from the National Gallery, Elmwood, PizzaExpress and more.

Designing for an iconic British Institution: The National Gallery

Using various case studies and showcasing new products, this session will explore the intricacies behind designing the packaging for The National Gallery products, from ensuring the integrity of paintings is kept during the process, to creating packs that engage consumers both on shelf and online.

Bringing iconicity back to the chilled pizza aisle

The PizzaExpress transition from restaurant to retail sparked significant growth in the chilled pizza category. As competition increased, the category became cluttered with similar offerings and limited differentiation. To secure their position as market leader, PizzaExpress worked with brand design agency, Brandon, to redesign their brand architecture with pizzazz and to give the chilled pizza aisle its icon back.

2024 PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD


As part of our collaboration with London Packaging Week, visitors had the opportunity to cast their vote for the 2024 People's Choice Award winner, picking their favourite pack amongst 12 shortlisted entries on display at the show. 

The winner will be announced at the Gala Ceremony this October.
