There are no shortcuts to mastery. The journey requires immense talent, a bit of luck, but most of all, it requires an unwavering will to persevere. With this limited-edition packaging, the agency told the story of Bowmore – a master craftsman of Islay Single Malt Scotch with over 240years of rich history – through an old Chinese tale of perseverance “The carp has leaped over the Dragon’s Gate".
In this old folktale, a brave carp sets off on a daring odyssey to reach the Dragon’s Gate on top of a waterfall. With countless others, the carp swims against the tides. It patiently endures, learning to ride the turbulent waves. Finally, against all odds, it takes the final leap! With a miraculous transformation, the once-humble carp emerges as a majestic dragon. This Year of the Dragon, we united the story of a Scottish scotch maker's pursuit of excellence with this enduring Chinese myth. Capturing the story of the carp’s ascent on the outside, we heightened the moment of transformation within. As the pack glides open, a triumphant dragon comes to life, hovering over Bowmore’s finest single malt scotch - the culmination of a centuries-long ascent
