All-natural skincare line MIWA gets a minimal and clean aesthetic that uses typography as the key design element.

MIWA is a skincare and cosmetics brand that trusts the natural benefits of raw ingredients without the use of chemicals. Their products are entirely eco-friendly, vegan, cruelty-free, silicone-free and produced using sustainable practices. The conscious brand also invites consumers to re-learn personal caring habits and have a more natural and eco-friendlier lifestyle.



Cobra Branding & Design set out to create a flexible, friendly and modern brand personality, identifying typography as a key tool to achieve this. A bespoke minimal logotype is accompanied by a handmade gestural font, to focus on the handmade nature of the product. Additionally, two other typefaces: a sans serif and a monospaced typeface are introduced to give it a modern and minimal touch.


A set of 6 icons complete the look and feel of the brand on the tags, each one representing the six key brand and product factors: No testing on animals, vegan, recycle and reusable packaging, handmade product, silicone-free and chemicals-free.



In-keeping with the minimalist and clean design, product variants are indicated by a colour coding strip. Orange: geranium and bergamot, Rose: nettle and rosemary, Violet: lavender, Yellow: ylang ylang and Green: mint.
