Following Valentine's Day this weekend, we're sharing the love and putting the spotlight on some of the agencies and designers we've got our eyes on...


Bowler & Kimchi – Netherlands

Bowler & Kimchi is a brand identity, packaging design and photography agency based in the Netherlands. Led by the experienced Kyanne Buckmann and Kevin Davis, Bowler & Kimchi focuses on creativity to develop solutions that make a difference.

Particularly keen on working with natural and organic brands, they have crafted a solid identity for brands like Olvarit and NATUFOOD thanks to standout communication plans. The Dutch agency won a Gold award in our 2020 competition, presenting the brilliant Bean Playing Tennis packaging concept.


Loonatiks – Greece

Based in Athens, the award winning Loonatiks design crew offers branding, packaging, web and editorial design, art direction and brand strategy. Their focus lies on typography-based design solutions, featuring a fusion of contemporary graphic design, street art and lettering.

Loonatiks works with brands ranging from boutique hotels to food brands. In last year competition, they won a Bronze award for their innovative work on Lucas Sardines packaging design in the Fish, Meat and Poultry sub-category.



Ma’no Branding – Uzbekistan

A full-service and award-winning branding agency, Ma’no Branding is based in Uzbekistan and currently enjoys a stellar reputation across all Central Asia.

Specialised in the development of verbal and visual brand identification, Ma’no Branding has worked on several projects including packaging designs for premium brands like Oltin suv and Kimchi salads. This design for Kimchi Plate won Silver in last year's competition in the Soups, ready-to-eat dishes, fast food category.



Pata Studio - UK

Pata Studi o is a London-based award-winning design studio. Focusing on branding, packaging, art direction and illustration, they create signature brand-looks through a modern and energetic approach to design.

Working with luxury brands like Minimal Mammal and Iris & Cole, in 2020 Pata secured a Bronze award by delivering a well-though and authentic design for a new Turkish craft beer, Trokya.



Boundless Brand Design – UK

Boundless Brand Design founded by Hamish Shand, are a strategic and creative branding agency based in London. They have beautiful thinking, an agile approach and crafted design at their core.

They have worked with brands such as Beefeater and Wessex Gin. Collaborating with Royal Salute, Boundless has also recently developed a standout design for the new Limited-Edition packaging celebrating the Lunar and Chinese New Year. In 2020, Boundless won a Bronze award for their work on Tails Cocktails in the ciders and low alcohol drinks sub-category.



Transformer studio – Russia

Founded by Nikita Melnikov and Ivan Danyushevsky in 2008, Transformer studio is a branding studio based in Moscow. They pride themselves in helping Russian businesses change for the better, following 3 core principles of expediency, responsibility and good taste.

They have worked with renowned clients such as Leroy Merlin and Bookmate. In 2020, Transformer was awarded a Bronze in our competition in the Soft Drinks and Juices sub-category, presenting the work they did for Yasnaya Polyana.



Lazy Snail – Denmark

Lazy Snail Design is a Danish branding agency focused on generating persuasive and gripping design concepts. Working closely with a local team based in Greece, Lazy Snail has a multicultural DNA enabling them to design for projects of any nature.

They have worked on large FMCG companies such as Danone S.A., as well as on smaller projects requiring extremely tailored approaches. Last year, they entered Pentawards competition and won a Bronze award with the packaging design developed for Greens&Yellows vegan meals.



Deez - Iran

Founded by Seyyed Mostafa Seyyed Ebrahimi and Yekta Jebelli, Deez is an Iranian creativity and design studio. A small team with outstanding capabilities, Deez specialises in Corporate identity design, packaging design and brand strategy.

They have worked on different pharmaceutical packaging designs as well as the organic saffron brand Persiana. Their Pediabest project won a Bronze award in the Baby Product category in last year competition.



Hi Brands – Poland

Passionate about building meaningful connections between brands and consumers, HiBrands is a branding agency based in Poland. With an interdisciplinary team bringing together experience and skills, HiBrands focuses on creating memorable brand experiences across key touchpoints.

Hi Brands has designed limited edition chocolate bars for names like Milka, developed the concept for calming drinks and recyclable water bottles, as well as the Bronze winning 'Roaring 40, Furious 50' whiskey and brandy.



Alejandro Gavancho – Peru

Alejandro Gavancho is an independent graphic designer based between Leeds and Lima. Working with a strategic, innovative and international perspective, he combines powerful aesthetics and minimalism to deliver complex projects brilliantly.

Alejandro’s area of expertise is brand building and packaging design for food and drinks-related projects. In 2020, he won a Bronze award for the Machiyenga Tree to Bar project in the Food category as well as a Silver award for his work for Abrogatto 18.


Magnet Design – Netherlands

Magnet is a Dutch Design firm that never fails to surprise us. Funded by the graphic designer Richard Mooij, his projects are characterised by a straightforward simplicity where essence is cleverly linked to a good idea.

Magnet Design has worked with national and international clients such CocaCola, Heineken and Unilever. His work for HEMA inflatables in the Entertainment sub-category won a Platinum award in last year competition.



Enpedra Design – Spain

A Spanish wine design studio, Enpedra specialises in packaging and beverage label design. Their approach is relevant, innovative and high-quality, undoubtedly delivering excellence and added value.

Enpedra focuses mostly on wine-related projects. Experimenting with the spirits category, they won a Platinum award for the brilliant design of Pridem’s London Dry Gin last year.



Caparo design crew - Greece

Caparo is a design-led creative agency based in Athens. Their core mission is to bring out the inner values of brands to create that desired emotional connection with consumers, which is why there is no project that goes without an inspirational story attached.

In 2020, Caparo design crew won the Best Newcomer award after having all four of their entries shortlisted and subsequently winning three Pentawards in their first year's competition. The winning design works are AMSTEL KARGO IPA (Silver), Twenty Stories, Lidl (Silver), and RETSINA wine, Lidl (Bronze).
