Hotel Chocolat's Extra-Thick Easter Egg Packaging
For 2025, Hotel Chocolat developed new packaging for the Extra-Thick Easter Eggs that brings the design closer to nature, utilising innovative materials that are gentle on the environment.
The new packaging is fully kerbside recyclable, allowing customers to recycle it effortlessly at home. The gold foil detailing on the sleeve takes inspiration from the Japanese art of ceramics repair, Kintsugi; representing the idea of embracing imperfections and finding beauty and strength in things that are broken. This glimpse of gold reflects not only the shape of the chocolate egg once it’s been cracked apart, but also the premium quality of the product itself.
