Antipodes is a natural skincare brand offering responsibly sourced and scientifically validated products made using ingredients grown in the fertile, pollution-free air of the New Zealand forests, home to some of the world’s most untouched nature.
With the release of the brand’s new Manuka Honey range, Petitmoulin redesigns the collection’s five main products: a face oil, an eye cream, gel cleanser, and their iconic face mask. The French design studio set out to reflect the natural components used within the products as well as bring the brand’s history and expertise to life. As a result New Zealand’s all important green terrain becomes the core design inspiration.
A bespoke handmade logo, featuring an intricate illustration of New Zealand’s rural landscape surrounding the brand’s iconic “A” initial, is debossed on the premium finish white outer box with green gold-foil stamping. Detailed graphics depicting a mix-match of the natural ingredients and local wildlife feature throughout the inner lining of each box in corresponding green tones, surrounding the bottle, pot or tube.
Within the boxes the product is wrapped in a two-layer leaflet. The first features the embossed gold logo and the second includes a quotation from Antipode’s founder, Elizabeth Barbalich used as a motto and introduction to each product.
The use of light green glass and soft pink tubes adorned with delicate silk screen printing for an understated signature, and Antipodes’ logo embossed on each glass bottle’s side provides a premium feel. Green tones and the bottles apothecary shape makes reference to the brands all-natural and science driven legacy.
