Inspired by the ancient tale of the snake guiding humans to eat the apple-unlocking knowledge and creativity---this design transforms apple peels into a continuous snake-shaped calendar, symbolising endless possibilities and prosperity. 

The packaging features a bold red and white design, enhanced by a yellow protective net commonly used to safeguard fresh fruits. This netting adds a tactile and visual connection to the theme of apples, grounding the modern design in everyday practicality. Playful illustrations of snakes, geometric patterns, and vibrant colours create a lively and engaging visual narrative. 

Details like the "sss" motif mimic the sound of a snake, cleverly wishing everyone "sss-mooth" success and "apple-y" peace in the new year. The inclusion of fresh apples alongside the calendar adds a festive and symbolic element, tying the design back to its legendary inspiration.

This year, Houth Team created the Turning Fortune Snake Gift Box for Auchentoshan, seamlessly blending the brand's signature colour scheme and identity with its spirit of innovation and precision. Inspired by the Snake Year, the gift box celebrates a fresh start to the new year while symbolising Auchentoshan’s resilience and prosperity.

The design process embraced advanced techniques, incorporating layered embossing and intricate foiling to achieve a striking visual effect. In collaboration with Designer Yang Shuei Yuan , Houth Team crafted three distinctive “Turning Fortune Snake” designs, combining traditional cultural elements with contemporary aesthetics.
