Red Antler crafts an updated packaging design for Cocktail-In-A-Teabag brand, Sayso

Sayso, a brand-new line of cocktail mixers, makes preparing cocktails as simple as making tea. To celebrate a year of success, Sayso tasks Red Antler with updating its packaging and delivering a fresh visual identity. This includes a switch from boxes and individually wrapped cocktail sachets to a bag composed of post-consumer recycled materials.



Some of the tasting notes and variants are classic drinks like the Skinny Spicy Margarita, Skinny Cardamon Paloma, Rosemary Honey Moscow Mule, and Old Fashioned, which are given upscale and tasty variations in the brand's mixes. Each flavour can be steeped and enjoyed as an alcohol-free mocktail or spiked with spirits like tequila, mescal, whisky, rum, or vodka for a full-fledged libation.



Brooklyn-based design agency Red Antler takes sustainability to the next level by doing away with single-use sachet packaging and packing the items "naked" in a resealable pouch, minimising the amount of material needed in packaging overall.



With sustainability at the core of the redesign, the brand's eco-conscious shift reduced the cost of the product. Some of the key elements from the previous pack, such as the wordmark and other branding components, are carried over to the current design. The layout of callouts such as "gluten-free," "non-GMO," and "vegan" is identical in typography. The colour palette is crafted for an appealing shelf standout, adding to the sustainable elements of the biodegradable sachet.
