Van Heertum Design develops a unique and vibrant packaging design for Friandries Chocolate.

Friandries

Friandries, creators of luxurious culinary chocolates, transform the traditional notion of chocolate with innovation using modern art, industrial design, graffiti, and the smells and colours of a city as inspiration.

Design agency Van Heertum Design creates a funky and vibrant visual identity with a multi-coloured palette to bring out the elements of the brand and product, which comes in six different flavours with three tasting notes such as sweet, sour, and bitter.

The packaging is a reminder of modern industrial graffiti-inspired art, which portrays the brand's experimental nature. Distinctive typography exhibits the various tasting notes within each box, with iconography-styled visuals of a mouth and tongue as the central eye-catcher.

The base of the box remains black to contrast and highlight the vibrant colour palette. With inspiration drawn from city streets, Friandries breaks the traditional design elements of chocolates.
