B&B Studio delivers a packaging design rooted in sustainability and eco-consciousness for a range of eco-friendly products, Kit & Kin

B&B Studio and Kit & Kin work together again to introduce a groundbreaking range of eco-friendly cleaning products. This latest offering expands Kit & Kin's impressive lineup, rooted in sustainability and conscientious consumerism. The new range showcases their commitment to their core brand values: Kinder to You, Kinder to the Planet, and Giving Back.

The Kit & Kin brand, conceptualised by B&B Studio in 2016, initially burst onto the scene with a pioneering selection of eco-friendly nappies, skincare, and wipes in 2017. Founded by Spice Girl Emma Bunton, the brand has since grown exponentially, securing a global retail presence and they’re also known for their innovations for the world's first reusable cloth nappy made from recovered fishing nets and nylon waste. Their dedication to environmental protection culminated in them achieving B Corp status and safeguarding 2500 acres of rainforest through the Kit & Kin Foundation.

One of the design challenges faced by B&B Studio was to maintain brand consistency as Kit & Kin expanded from a mother and baby brand into a lifestyle brand for the entire family. Fortunately, the brand's original design, inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics, proved versatile. The name, logotype, and tagline seamlessly transitioned to the cleaning range, complementing the organic and nature-inspired visual language.

The resulting design adds sophistication to Kit & Kin's existing illustration style, transforming organic shapes into abstract black-line depictions of cleaning-inspired silhouettes. These designs, set against pastel backgrounds on the refillable pouches, coexist harmoniously with the baby-based products while establishing themselves as an attractive and credible cleaning offering.

The range adopts a refillable system, with bottles designed for easy refills or recycling at home. To further reduce waste, customers can return the refillable pouches to Kit & Kin for specialized recycling making a packaging design focused on delivering a sustainable product.
