Design Happy’s packaging and visual identity for new skincare line maintains the brand aesthetic while also cutting through the competitive market.
Australia born Bondi Sands offer high-end vegan and cruelty-free self-tanning and sun-care products delivering a safer way to tan. Looking to extend their product line, the brand turned to UK design agency Design Happy to develop a packaging and visual identity for their new line of daily skincare products.
As an entirely new range, Design Happy’s challenge was not only to preserve the ‘Bondi Sands’ playful familiarity but to deliver an identity that would stand out among other competitors as well as being approachable and trustworthy.
A clean white background delivers a clinical, professional feel while the use of bold iconography in a pastel palette is in keeping with Bondi’s bright, playful aesthetic and provides clear product labelling allowing for ease of navigation. Emotive language gives each product its own personality whilst still being underpinned with science-backed ingredients.
