Butterfly Cannon unveils their special edition packaging for Johnnie Walker’s release of extraordinarily rare, highly aged whiskies that celebrate the mastery of the brand’s whiskey makers.

Johnnie Walker has released a collection of rare Whiskeys uniquely blended and aged for 48 years with a run consisting of a mere 288 bottles. In light of its rarity, Diageo turned to design studio Butterfly Cannon to create a complete packaging experience that would communicate the exclusivity of the range and the exceptional skills utilized to make it.

A distinctively cut Baccarat crystal decanter encompasses the rare whiskey, boasting a rich emerald green colour inspired by the vivid tones of the Scottish landscape from which the whiskey is produced. The bottle is enclosed within a stained wood presentation case, clad in FSC-certified oak, and lined with recycled leather/PU Wintan Lhasa. The doors open to reveal information about the whiskey and the brand, even featuring an internal drawer with cards and bottle stopper, and finished with gold detailing, offering a highly unique, premium unboxing experience.
