Coca-Cola delivers a vision into the future with the launch of Coca-Cola Y3000, co-created with AI

Coca-Cola's Creation series is back, launching fresh and innovative flavours every few months based on collaborations, innovation, and featuring the latest trends. The latest limited-edition series, which had been worked on by industry insiders for weeks, has just been released, and it is crafted with a vision of the future.

With the increasing use of AI, it has made its way to the creative team at Coca-Cola, embracing the latest generative technologies to assist in developing flavours and packaging. They're not completely handing over the reins to AI but have decided to co-create with it, as stated on the can. This new beverage, known as Coca-Cola Y3000, comes in both regular and sugar-free versions and boasts a futuristic look with a blend of hazy purple, pink, and blue colours, along with a slightly fuzzy wordmark.

Coca-Cola first asked consumers about the flavours they associate with the future. Then, they brought in AI to generate various flavour combinations and a mood board to provide design inspiration. This latest limited-edition release is a reflection of the brand's creative direction for the future.

The brand sees these headline-grabbing initiatives as the bridge between real-world designers and the brand's life, whether through its Real Magic platform or marketing campaigns like Y3000, which also features a QR code that allows consumers to envision the future 977 years from now. With the mystery surrounding the Creations series' flavours, Coco Cola’s unique campaign generates interest and engagement as consumers increasingly seek out healthier beverage options.
