Danone’s makes an eco-conscious move to deliver a truly sustainable pack for Actimel as they continue to remain visually appealing

Actimel bottles' plastic sleeves have been removed preventing the production of 8 tonnes of plastic and 19 tonnes of CO2 annually. The luxury cues of this pack are enhanced by swapping the plastic sleeve with a high-quality deboss, adding value rather than sacrifice. This is a fantastic illustration of a brand making more with less - less energy produced from fossil fuels and lesser use of ink and energy.

Driven by sustainability, Danone’s objective was to contribute to plastic production reduction by implementing a circular and low-carbon economy approach. To achieve this goal, the brand recreated the product design eliminating unnecessary packaging elements, reducing virgin fossil plastics by using recycled materials or renewables, exploring alternative materials, and developing reusable packaging solutions.

The second objective is to ensure that plastic that cannot be eliminated is reused or recycled in practice So that plastic never becomes waste or pollution. This actively supports the development of collecting, recycling, and reusing plastics, such as Deposit Return Schemes for beverage bottles.

Crafting eco-conscious designs can be easily achieved while delivering beautiful packs rather than compromising on results.
