Alisa Burzic crafts a maximalist visual identity for Ghost Town Oats inspired by inclusivity and diversity

Ghost Town Oats is a new premium oat milk brand that addresses the lack of inclusion in the plant-based milk market. Michelle Johnson, Ezra Baker, and Eric J. Grimm, three baristas, founded the company to create the best, creamiest oat milk while making plant-based alternatives widespread and accessible to everyone, especially people of colour.

Ghost Town Oats is inspired by the neglect of the awareness of people struggling with lactose intolerance, especially people of colour. It was also crafted by working baristas who understood the quality standards and the required sense of taste, which remained the most essential.

Alisa Burzic, a fine arts expert from Belgrade, Serbia, crafted a packaging design that delivered a visual that is eye-catching, fun, and a strong shelf standout. Breaking away from the typical white and blue colour palettes, Ghost Town Oats comes in a standout pink with black typography. The three floating ghosts, a tribute to the three founders, provide a whimsical touch to the branding.

Choosing a startling pink packaging with minimal illustrations was founded on maximalist ideologies. With the founders being driven to take action on diversity and inclusivity they are yet to share the story that inspired them to bring inclusivity through Ghost Town Oats but aspire to share the story someday.
