Take Me To The Mountains
Inspired by the pandemic and travel restrictions, the coffee brand ‘Take Me To The Mountains’ was created for people to enjoy cups of coffee with family and friends on their latest adventures. Holidays and leisure came to a halt for the Taiwanese people with the introduction of international travel restrictions. As a means to explore newer options, trekking through the Taiwanese mountains was the alternative to international holidays. Drawing from the beautiful landscape, the coffee brand promoted inbound travel and adventure to keep the people of Taiwan busy.
Lung-Hao Chaing
Designer Lung-Hao Chaing developed a packaging design and a visual identity that visually represented the mountains. Sourced from the Taiwanese mountain region, three flavors of coffee are produced with a packaging design inspired by camping and the mountains. The primary packaging displays a minimalistic logo with an illustration of the landscape using a simplistic pattern and colour palette that represents the various hues of the mountains. Adorning the side panel is a minimal illustration depicting a character peeking out of a tent, playing on the triangular tent-like shape of the packaging portraying an outdoor-inspired illustration.
The packaging design is a celebration of the great outdoors, creating a striking balance between the value of the product and the brand image and ethos. The overall visual identity is a display of earthy yet muted coloured, refined and minimalistic typography, triangular packaging, and gilded hues to deliver an overall sophisticated packaging system.
