TRUFFL delivers a trendy and unique packaging design for an allergen-free brand, Fair & Square

Ancient Provisions, a snack brand well-known in the allergen-free category, revamped its packaging design to deliver a message that allergen-free products can come in fun packaging too. They tasked California-based creative agency, TRUFFL, to deliver a packaging design with a visual identity that focused on the brand’s allergen-free elements while delivering a fun, engaging, and whimsical pack.



Although known for its healthy snacks, Fair & Square is on a mission to bring a sense of fun and delight to the healthy snack category. TRUFFL reimagined the brand’s visual identity with the theme ‘Delightful Satisfaction’. The overall visual identity communicates a message that is entertaining, whimsical, and approachable that would appeal to the target audience.




Drawing from the vintage circus ads, the pack delivers an illustration of characters from the children’s book, Bernstein Bears and Madeline. The illustration on the packs is hand drawn with a colour palette that draws inspiration from each character with primary and pastel colours. The typography is a combination of Futura fonts supported with secondary fonts.




TRUFFL worked in collaboration with illustrator, Max Dalton who brought a visual style that is both fun and sophisticated featuring an overall vision for a shelf standout and engagement.
