Matteo Tabutieaux

Student designer Matteo Tabutieaux delivers a conceptual packaging design that is eco-conscious and fused with historical art elements representing the natural components of flowers and trees.

The origami-inspired packaging plays with simplicity by using a wooden stem (which can be used as a stake) and cut and folded paper only.

Fleurettes

Inspired by planting cards, this unique packaging concept allows you to grow flowers. Thanks to the recycled paper in which the seeds of the flowers have been integrated where all you have to do is plant the petals and water regularly.

Aiming to be ecological in every aspect, the packaging is biodegradable and the natural inks do not pollute the ground.

The overall visual identity of the packaging draws from historical elements while creating a balance with present times. The typography is fluid and light, mimicking nature and drawing from Hector Guimard’s cult that represents the roots of flower and tree structures that extend underground.

The logotype is curvy and interlaced, inspired by the Art Nouveau movement, with a touch of modernity in the chosen colour palette, creating coherence between the past and modernity. Finally, perforated petals act as a nostalgic reminder of the ‘I love you, a little, a lot, passionately, madly, and not at all’ game.
