Following their first re-design in 16 years, our Pentawards trophies have a new, fresh, and modern look, crafted with higher-quality workmanship with different colours, textures, and materials to deliver an unprecedented winning experience.

Our brand new Pentawards trophies are defined as ‘fresh, modern, and magnificent.’

Crafted to represent our brand's philosophy, each trophy embodies artistic ingenuity with its smooth surface, circular exterior, and the perfectly carved pentagon in the center, showcasing high-quality workmanship using state-of-the-art technology.

Here’s a walk-through of the process behind the Pentawards trophy 2023

Crafting the Pentawards trophies begins with the initial process of turning, facing, boring, and milling on the CNC machine. Following this, the trophies are sent to the EDM machine, and thanks to its technology, we see precision and accuracy in the pentagon's corners.

What does the EDM machine do?

EDM machining is also called "spark erosion," which is exactly what it is: tiny and very accurately targeted electrical discharges are made between a wire electrode and the part. Each spark, and there are thousands, ablates a tiny amount of material. EDM is time-consuming and expensive, but it's spectacularly accurate and one of the only ways to get a truly sharp internal corner.

The trophies are in a state of perfection at this point. To add a touch of excellence, the trophies are inspected and polished off with an age-old machine that has hardly changed over the years.
