Emily Hadden delivers a packaging suit that veers away from conventional sustainable packaging design trends.
Recognising the amount of plastic waste that accumulates in the skincare and beauty industry, Object is a new skincare brand on a mission to produce natural, plastic free beauty essentials that are visually appealing while being as sustainable as possible. Object’s core aim is to give back to people and the planet in everything they do, an endeavour which has been recognised by Positive who have awarded them the Butterfly Mark Certification for being socially and environmentally responsible.
Rather than using conventional design traits associated with sustainable brands, Emily Hadden's packaging design opts for something more colourful and contemporary. Bright block colours accompanied with contrasting, playful typography adorn the paper boxes, a minimal but effective flexible design with the potential to be extended across different products.
With sustainability as priority, Hadden’s packaging is made from up to 50% recycled cotton from the clothing industry and the rest is FSC certified material. Plant-based inks are used for all branding, making the packaging entirely biodegradable, home compostable and recyclable.
