Sergeant Walnuts delivers a monochromatic visual identity and premium packaging design for coffee brand, Oddy Knocky

Sergeant Walnuts, a Manchester-based creative agency, crafts a vibrant personality into the coffee world through its branding for Oddy Knocky, a local startup. The brand was founded on the idea that great coffee should be a simple pleasure and promises exceptional brews.

Inspired by Oddy Knocky founder Matt Whitehead's DIY attitude, the agency coined the name 'Oddy Knocky,' derived from A Clockwork Orange and reflecting independence. The visual identity, crafted to strike a balance between playfulness and premium appeal, features a custom typeface with retro, eye-catching letterforms reminiscent of the film's typography.

The predominantly black and white colour palette, occasionally punctuated by pops of orange, pays homage to A Clockwork Orange posters and accentuates the different coffee blends. The result is a concise and compelling brand identity that captures Oddy Knocky's essence—fun, quality, and a nod to cinematic inspiration.
