PepsiCo has launched its boldest innovation yet: Pepsi Prebiotic Cola, a soda enhanced with 3 grams of prebiotic fibre, positioned to appeal to health-conscious consumers without abandoning its mainstream appeal.
But it’s not just the formula that’s evolved. The design tells its own story. The can retains the brand’s iconic red-white-blue logo and deep blue background, a nostalgic nod to the brand rich legacy.
Two initial flavours, Original Cola and Cherry Vanilla, are easily distinguishable through colour accenting.
Where things shift subtly is in the functional cueing: clean, modern typography highlights the soda’s nutritional credentials, like “30 calories,” “5g prebiotic fibre,” and “no artificial sweeteners”, in an easy-to-read layout.
The packaging straddles two worlds: it speaks to the growing wellness movement, but through the lens of a globally recognised and trusted brand.
