Welly has redefined first aid packaging with a design that is both practical and visually striking. The brand set out to create an iconic, modular packaging system that transforms first aid from a necessity into an enjoyable, accessible experience.
Recognising the need for organization, durability, and sustainability, Prime Studio and Mythology explored various materials before selecting tin—a sturdy, waterproof, and reusable choice. Unlike traditional paperboard boxes, Welly’s tin packaging ensures that bandages and ointments remain neatly organized and easy to access, whether at home or on the go. The custom-molded pulp inserts further enhance organization while supporting sustainability goals.
A key aspect of Welly’s packaging strategy was reusability. Rather than discarding the tins, consumers repurpose them for storage—holding everything from craft supplies to travel essentials. This aligns with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, reinforcing the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” philosophy.
Beyond functionality, Welly’s packaging stands out with vibrant colours and playful patterns, making first aid products more approachable. This unique aesthetic, paired with a thoughtful structural design, ensures that Welly not only captures attention on the shelf but also enhances the user experience in everyday life.
