Pearlfisher delivers a packaging design celebrating their collaboration with the pioneers of the craft gin renaissance, Sipsmith

Pioneers in the field, Sipsmith began their journey in 2008 after pivotally overturning an 1823 English law that restricted small-batch gin distillation. Known for their exceptionally good quality, the brand tasked design agency, Pearlfisher to redefine its visual identity adding character, wit, and charm.

With the swan at the core of the design, the team began reestablishing and recreating its features. homage to The Sipsmith’s majestic, swan-necked copper still, takes centre stage as it adorns the bottle's label design. Around the swan still, a tapestry of hidden gems and discoverable elements artfully weaves together the captivating narrative of Sipsmith, encapsulating its distinctive personality and compelling proposition.

The graceful swan asset now extends into Sipsmith's contemporary wordmark, where the 'S' mirrors the swan's shape, capturing the playful and quirky essence that is signature to Sipsmith. The brand's green colour has been refreshed to exude a premium feel. Additionally, the back label references intricate ingredient stories, visible through the muted green glass of the newly redesigned and recycled bottle. This eco-conscious bottle now contains up to 44% recycled content and weighs 20% less than its predecessor, reducing its carbon footprint.

By embracing the visual quirks, eclectic charm and British craftsmanship that loyal Sipsmith sippers know and love, Pearlfisher’s team set out to bolster the stories already at the heart of the brand for a new generation of gin drinkers.
